FOR PEOPLE
Take Action for World Peace Day! Dr. Jane Goodall, as the United Nations Messenger for Peace, started a worldwide campaign for “September 21, World Peace Day”. She called on people of all ages, especially children and young people, to make a “dove of peace” puppet and to “fly” them for peace. Every year, people from all over the world; Kilimanjaro, Kathmandu, China, Europe, America make their symbolic doves and “shaping peace together”.
Organize a Fair, Concert or Theater Show! You can donate the income of these events to one of the Jane Goodall Institute projects. For example, you can support Roots & Shoots groups, send them to one of the camps in Tanzania, or contribute to another project.
Communicate with People in Other Countries! It will be an interesting and very enjoyable experience than you imagined. We can connect your Roots & Shoot group with other Roots & Shoots groups. This way you will have penpals from all over the world! There are Roots & Shoots groups in more than 100 countries. Don’t you want to have friends from Africa or America?
Be In Solidarity With Your Neighbors! There are people in your neighborhood and close circle with whom you can be in solidarity. You can turn this into a pleasant experience for yourself and your friends and start projects together.

FOR ANIMALS
Be an Observer and Watch Animals! So you can understand and get to know them better. You can find animals everywhere. In the soil, in the city, in the garden, in the park, on the balcony! What do they feed on? What are they doing? Are they active or calm? Why are they acting that way? Write down what you’ve observed and create a poster for your school.
Make nests for birds, bats, insects!
Plant Shrubs and Trees! These shrubs and trees are the habitat of birds, butterflies and many others.
Create New Living Spaces in Your School’s Garden! A flower corner, a stone wall, or a wetland can accommodate many species.
